Weathering the Storm: Challenges and Opportunities Facing Colorado Nonprofits During Recession

In an effort to play a positive and proactive role in helping Colorado's nonprofits sustain during the recession and beyond, the Colorado Nonprofit Association worked in conjunction with the Community Resource Center (CRC) in early 2009 to produce this survey report to highlight the impact of Colorado's economy on the demand for programs and the fundraising to suport those programs.

Weathering the Storm: Challenges and Opportunities Facing Colorado Nonprofits During Recession provides greater understanding of what nonprofits are facing, what they have done in response to the decling economy what they need in order to be most successful.

Report data demonstrates that nonprofits are facing turbulent times and expect more challenges in the future. Rather than give in to despair, the data indicates that many nonprofits have been proactively preparing for a difficult 2009 by retooling with a focus on effectiveness, efficiency, proven best practices and increased mission impact.
