WORKSHOP VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must have an iOS or android device (to scan attendees into sessions) 
  • Must be detail-oriented, selecting the correct session, date and time in app 
  • Must be diligent in Syncing their APP after EVERY session 
  • Must complete recorded webinar training on how to use Cvent’s OnArrival app 
  • Must read through Sheraton Denver Downtown emergency protocol and take an online quiz to demonstrate understanding 
  • Must volunteer a FULL 8-hour day to receive free admission for alternate day

 

REGISTRATION VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Welcome and greet attendees as they arrive 
  • Assist in the registration process and direct attendees any open check-in station 
  • In the event there are technical difficulties for an attendee, please communicate the issue to the technician on site so they may resolve the issue 
  • Help guide traffic to registration/exhibit hall/breakfast/lunch/ sessions 

 

WORKSHOP VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Greet attendees and scan badges as they walk into the session 
  • In the event issues scanning badges, SYNC your app and thank attendees for patiently waiting, if the sync does not help – text your volunteer coordinator for immediate assistance 
  • If the room reaches capacity (all the seats are filled), place a “Closed” sign on the door, indicating to attendees they need to find another session to attend 
  • Assist in distributing handouts during the session as needed 
  • In the event of technical difficulties, notify the IT team located in your hallway (PSAV) 
  • Give attendees 5 minutes at the end of the session to take out their phones and complete the online session survey 
  • Check the room at the end of the session for anything left by attendees and give to Denver’s Early Childhood Council partner table for lost and found, and clean up as needed
