Scrum Alliance, a nonprofit professional association, is looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail oriented Administrative Assistant for our Education department who enjoys making a difference, being part of a team and takes pride in their career.

Job Summary

The successful Administrative Assistant provides exceptional support to our Education department. This individual will be responsible for processing certification applications and providing day-to-day support for multiple Education programs.

Areas of Responsibility


  • Applies knowledge and understanding of Scrum Alliance certifications and programs, including processes and procedures
  • Processes program applications according to specified timelines
  • Arranges meetings with subject matter experts and other members of the team.
  • Responds to customer service requests and applicant communications
  • Maintains up-to-date contact and mailing lists
  • Assists in documenting processes and procedures
  • Identifies trends and recommends process improvements
  • Provides cross-functional team support and assistance as appropriate
  • Develops a working understanding of both the front-end and back-end association management system to support the department and stakeholders
  • Works directly with program partners, members, and vendors to provide excellent customer support
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience supporting programs and/or projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both verbal and written
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with Apple computers preferred
  • Experience in digital filing organization, file downloading, processing payments, processing approvals and data spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with certification and/or education programs preferred
  • Scrum/Agile experience/knowledge preferred
  • Proven success working both independently and with self-directed, virtual team members

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role so must be able to sit for long periods of time without problems

  • Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment are required.
  • General mobility to move through facility, attend and participate in meetings.
  • Must be able to have repetitive arm, wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer for prolonged period of time
  • Ability to focus including but not limited to looking at a computer screen
  • Ability to operate general office and communication equipment (phone, computer, copier, etc.).

The position may require the ability to lift 0-50lbs.
