Hunger Free Colorado is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Engagement Manager to effectively solicit and retain corporate and individual investments in Hunger Free Colorado through management of a corporate prospect, partner and funder portfolio. The Corporate Engagement Manager will engage in prospect research and outreach, and will cultivate new and deepen existing relationships with corporate supporters, by overseeing corporate employee volunteer engagement, partnerships, and financial and in-kind contributions. This high performing and driven employee will be an integral part of Hunger Free Colorado’s Development team, reporting to the Director of Development and working closely with the Development Associate, as well as collaborating with Program Directors and Managers.

Areas of Responsibility

Manage the identification, cultivation, acquisition, and stewardship of a portfolio of new and existing corporate partners

  • Have primary responsibility for meeting annual goals for corporate revenue
  • Conduct in-depth prospect research and engagement that leads to at least 35 new corporate partnerships in year one
  • Seek out new and innovative ways to develop revenue streams with existing and new corporate partners
  • Work with new and existing corporate sponsors to partner through as many avenues as possible, including corporate employee volunteering, corporate giving, matching employee gifts, event sponsorship, program sponsorship, product donations, joint marketing and profit-sharing events
  • Articulate the mission and activities of Hunger Free Colorado to diverse corporate and community audiences through group presentations and individual conversations, as well as in proposals or written requests
  • Build long-term, meaningful relationships with corporate partners, advocating for and seeking increased funding commitments over time
  • Provide corporate partners with support to engage their employees year-round through successful giving campaigns, event attendance, calls to action and volunteer opportunities
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of corporate information into a constituent database, including contacts, meeting notes, deadlines for any corporate grant applications and reports, and key recognition and outreach activities
  • Respond to donor questions and resolve issues in a timely manner

Provide support to other Development team members

  • Work with the Director of Development to recruit, cultivate and engage major donors
  • Provide support for fundraising events and the solicitation of individual donors for the Full Plate Society
  • Organize and execute special projects that support Development team goals, as appropriate

Prepare Hunger Free Colorado Program Directors and Managers for cultivation, solicitation and/or stewardship conversations, as needed

  • Work with program departments to identify and integrate short- and long-term volunteerism opportunities into Hunger Free Colorado programs and activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or work equivalent in a sales or fundraising position, or in a related field
  • Demonstrated track record with account management and raising new revenue
  • Experienced relationship manager, with demonstrated past responsibility for externally-facing partnerships or stakeholders
  • Track record of raising significant new revenue
  • Exceptional communication, listening and relationship skills
  • Self-starter and team player, with ability to drive work forward independently while also working collaboratively with colleagues
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations
  • A commitment to the mission and values of Hunger Free Colorado
Compensation/Benefits

Salary range for this position is $62,000-$67,000, depending on qualifications.
