The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is seeking a Creative Technologist I. This position works with the Creative Technology team to help develop software and hardware based technology systems to ensure DMNS technology goals are met through innovative, efficient and robust development practices. This position is a software development position and requires an individual to think creatively across a range of technologies, from C# development to Arduino integration.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Areas of Responsibility

Essential duties:


  • Develops custom software using C#,JS, HTML5/CSS to support the needs of internal clients and enhance the experience of DMNS visitors.
  • Uses 3rd party services and software to support the needs of internal clients and enhance the experience of DMNS visitors.
  • Maintains existing software projects and through updates to a CMS.
  • Gathers analytics on new and existing projects.
  • Ensures quality software development through software testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; or 4 years equivalent experience required.
  • 1 years’ experience with ASP.NET, C# and Visual Studio.NET, JS, HTML5/CSS required.
  • 1 years’ experience with hardware/software integration required.
  • 1 years’ experience with front end development with integrated service layer required.
  • 1 years’ experience working as part of a collaborative team in an Agile environment required.

Pay Range:  $54,695 - $71,103
