Position Summary

Our IT team at Scrum Alliance is dedicated to delivering, managing and proving IT products and services to our internal staff as well as the Scrum Alliance community.  These services include:  basic IT infrastructure services, web-platforms that support the education and credentialing as well as membership services and content.

 

We are recruiting an Senior Systems Technician who will be responsible for providing desktop and general IT and A/V support to the staff and will perform basic systems administration functions under the supervision of the IT Director.

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role so must be able to sit for long periods of time without problems

  • Must be able to have repetitive arm, wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to use close vision and able to focus including but not limited to reading/proofing various materials, and looking at a computer screen
  • The position will require the ability to lift 0-50lbs.

Areas of Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • IT Support
    • Provides desk-side support to internal staff 
    • Installs and remove applications from workstations and laptops
    • Provisions new systems for users
    • Opens trouble tickets with SaaS vendors
    • Procures licenses for new users as necessary
    • Quickly responds to request for IT assistance from end users
    • Provisions laptops/workstations, monitors and related peripheral equipment for new users as assigned
    • Works collaboratively with administration to ensure facility maintenance is complete
  • IT Operations
    • Maintains and upgrades
  • email, 
  • voice mail,
  • telephone, 
  • instant message,
  • active directory
  • Performs IT asset management functions
  • Performs desktop computer deployment, maintenance, destruction
  • Manages anti-virus solutions.
  • Monitors IT infrastructure for performance and security issues and assists in remediation steps
  • Performs required maintenance and upgrades on existing network and IT infrastructure hardware and software
  • Assists in the deployment of new network and server hardware and software
  • Assists with the management of SaaS and Iaas services
  • IT Administration
    • Creates documentation
    • Tests software
    • Cleanup/creates user accounts
    • Assists with security audits and remediations
Requirements/Qualifications
  • IT certifications desired but not required (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
  • 8+ consecutive years in a support role
  • 8+ years experience as a network or systems administrator
  • Experience with Apple laptops or workstations and devices required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with an emphasis on data management in Excel
