Programs Coordinator (Enrichment Programs)
A Precious Child, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization providing children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential. A Precious Child envisions a future where every child grows up to be a secure, self-reliant, contributing member of their community.
To support A Precious Child in meeting its overall objectives of providing necessities for children, the Programs Coordinator is responsible for a full range of activities related to the organization’s Enrichment Programs. These programs provide access to extracurricular activities and educational opportunities through giveACCESS applications and various camps. The Programs Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating year-round in-kind drive partners to ensure the organization receives inventory for all programs. Additionally, the Programs Coordinator manages volunteers for the Fill A Backpack and Precious Gift programs.
Hours: Full-Time, Exempt, with some evenings and weekends

Areas of Responsibility:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership, training, and supervision for interns, and volunteers, ensuring a positive and impactful experience
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and set clear goals and expectations for interns
- Address conflicts or issues within the team promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
- Collaborate with direct supervisor to ensure quarterly achievement of programmatic and departmental goals, promptly escalating any concerns regarding unmet goals to the Director
- Address any gaps in skills or knowledge of required tasks with the direct supervisor
- Align work responsibilities with the organization’s strategic goals and mission, ensuring team efforts contribute to overall objectives
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic, serving as a role model and promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Uphold ethical leadership standards in all aspects of leadership, ensuring decisions and actions align with the organization’s values and principles
Management of giveACCESS Financial Assistance Applications
- Lead in processing individual and group applications for assistance with educational items and extracurricular activities through A Precious Child’s giveACCESS program
- Conduct follow-up and coordination with clients and Agency Partners regarding A Precious Child’s individual and group applications
- Ensure grant goals and spending requirements are met for the giveACCESS program
- Build relationships with activity and equipment providers
- Create and update policy procedures to establish standard practices that maintain quality, efficiency, and reliability in the giveACCESS program
Management of In-Kind Donation Drives
- Lead the execution of comprehensive donation drive campaigns for the organization’s programming, including setting goals, timelines, and communication strategies
- Cultivate relationships with community partners and organizations to secure support and collaboration for donation drives
- Support logistics for donation collection, ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout the donation process
- Develop and maintain tracking systems to monitor in-kind donation inventory, drive progress, and fulfill program needs
- Ensure donor recognition and stewardship for in-kind supporters, including timely thank-you communications and impact reporting
- Manage in-kind donation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and safety standards
- Manage and update fundraising page content on A Precious Child’s donor database platform, Luminate, ensuring copy is donor-focused and campaign-relevant; share and promote the page with community partners to maximize visibility
Volunteer Management
- Create and execute plans for each volunteer shift to ensure a fulfilling volunteer experience
- Manage multiple volunteer groups per day during peak program times, ensuring each group receives tailored support and clear direction
- Remain hands-on and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities quickly to meet real-time program and volunteer needs
- Ensure seamless transitions between volunteer shifts, resetting workstations and prepping materials efficiently
- Maintain high energy and approachability to keep volunteers motivated, engaged, and aligned with organizational goals throughout the day
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during volunteer activities, ensuring a positive and fulfilling volunteer experience
giveACCESS Camps
- Support in planning and executing all sports and arts camps, including purchasing equipment and planning day-of-event logistics and activities
- Provide day-of-event support, including volunteer management, event setup and teardown, troubleshooting, and solving event issues
- Responsible for registering all clients for camps
- Create and update policy procedures to establish standard practices that maintain quality, efficiency, and reliability in skills camps
Agency Partners
- Support in coordinating A Precious Child Agency Partners, including processing requests, fulfilling orders, and building relationships with Agency Partners
- Ensure accurate data tracking in the Agency Partner Portal and other tracking tools
- Collaborate with the Agency Partner Relations Manager to ensure Agency Partner needs are met
Facilities & Warehouse:
- Ensure safety and proper use of various warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, electronic pallet jacks, and pallets
- Ensure volunteer safety in all areas of warehouse
- Responsible for warehouse set up, cleanliness and organization during seasonal program
- Collaborate with Facilities and Warehouse Department to ensure department needs are met
Evaluation and Improvement:
- Conduct audits of incoming data entries to ensure clean and accurate data
- Work with the A Precious Child Program Impact and Partnership team to share impact stories of the giveACCESS program
- Distribute client feedback surveys for the giveACCESS program
- Evaluate and improve program processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals
Collaboration
- Provide coverage for Pathways Participants as needed
- Collaborate with departments across A Precious Child to create solutions, process improvements, and streamline efficiencies
- Work with A Precious Child development staff to ensure fundraising and grant needs are met
- Collaborate with A Precious Child Donation Center and Warehouse Department to ensure all drive partner donation pickups are executed successfully
- Collaborate with Family Services staff to ensure client needs are met and internal referrals are successful
- Represent A Precious Child at various community events
Other duties as assigned:
- Providing general support to the operations team when needs arise
Required Skills/Experience
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of group volunteer management experience
- Minimum of 2 years of donor engagement or customer service experience
Technical Proficiency:
- Microsoft Office Suite: Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office tools
- Experience working with donor database platforms such as Raiser’s Edge, including campaign updates, report pulling, and coding pages
- Experience with Monday.com, and Captain database preferred but not required
Language Skills:
- Bilingual (Preferred): While not required, bilingual skills are beneficial for communicating with the community we serve

- Issue Resolution: Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues or questions from staff, interns, volunteers, clients, and agency partners
Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervisory Skills: Experience in supervising interns and volunteers, ensuring an engaging and impactful experience

Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds and remain physically active for extended periods
