We are in a time of change at the Colorado Nonprofit Association. Renny Fagan, our CEO, began planning for his upcoming retirement last fall, and then after reflecting at the end of the year, decided to begin his retirement in February. Renny devoted his life to improving the lives of Coloradoans and, for the last 12 years, the Association has benefited from his transformative leadership. He has readied the Association’s team for this pivotal time in its history with his extraordinary preparations. Renny will be greatly missed and we wish him every success in his future endeavors.
A few key elements remain unchanged. The Association will continue to keep our members first. We will continue to lead, serve, and strengthen Colorado’s nonprofit community. We continue to have an accomplished staff, including Lydia McCoy, Vice President and COO, and Abby Laine Sienkiewicz, Vice President and Chief Impact Officer.
Lisa Pedersen will serve as Interim CEO, leveraging her passion for the Association. Lisa has served as board member, chair of the Public Policy Committee, and a member of the Strategy & Innovation Committee. Lisa is coordinating with Renny to ensure a smooth process.
In addition, the Board engaged Kittleman & Associates to assist the Board in selecting a candidate who will continue to deliver on the organization’s vision of ensuring Colorado has the nation’s most effective, vibrant and innovative nonprofit community.
As Board Chair, I am incredibly grateful for you, our members, working on the frontlines to improve the quality of life for all Coloradoans. We look forward to continuing to serve and work with you throughout 2021.
