The FFN Grant Program Manager will manage all aspects of the FFN support and services project, a grant from the Colorado Department of Early Childhood including the programmatic aspect of the grant and the financial tracking and reporting of funds as part of CDEC’s Family, Friend, & Neighbor (FFN) Training & Support Services Program. The purpose of this program is to support FFN-serving organizations with funds to provide FFN providers with information, training, and materials. CSPC will regrant state funds to qualified local organizations and groups and provide groups with support and technical assistance when needed to successfully achieve the goals of this project. This position requires Bilingual Eng/Span communication skills and will work closely with CSPC’s leadership team to manage the successful implementation of the FFN support and services project.

This position is a temporary, grant-dependent position with an anticipated contract term immediately through Dec of 2026 with a possibility of this position becoming permanent.

Responsibilities/Duties include:

Program Implementation:

• Provide overall management of the FFN training and Support Services Project

• Fully understanding the goals and requirements of the Colorado Department of early Childhoods FFN support and Services Grant.

• Fully responsible for the development and implementation of the re-granting process in an accessible way for non-profits and community-based groups to apply for funds

• Overall responsibility in collaboration with the Director of Evaluation and Learning for collecting, tracking and reporting results of project to CDEC.

• Work with Director of Comms and Marketing in developing and implementing the communication and marketing plan to support our goals and objectives of this grant.

• Convene and support majority FFN proposal review and training advisory council

• Support the technical assistance for Grant receiving entities

• Coordinate virtual networking events

• Meet with the Colorado Department of Early Childhoods FFN team monthly

• Support the Director of Communications and Marketing with the development and implementation of the Communication and marketing plan to promote the RFP and share the impact of FFN serving entities

• Coordinate story collection from FFN serving entities

• Work with the Director of Evaluation and learning in developing evaluation plans with each FFN serving entity awarded.

• Event planning

• Grant monitoring and reporting

• Drafting reports and content for CSPCs website and other publications including the annual impact report

Financial:

• Oversee grant management for the FFN program funds to ensure CSPC’s records are organized and in compliance with contract requirements.

• Collaborate with CSPC’s Director of Finance, Grant and Payroll Manager, CEO, and program staff to align CSPC grant management activities with the FFN program’s implementation.

• Adhere to CSPC’s financial policies and procedures in the administration and management of the FFN program’s funds.

• Track and provide grant information to support reimbursement requests, budget amendment requests, and grant reporting activities.

• Support audit requests and activities related to CSPC’s administration of the FFN program.

• Coordinate grant sub-recipients’ reporting of financial outputs, outcomes, and other established financial metrics to support CSPC’s financial reporting.

• Compile and monitor grant sub-recipients’ budgets and adherence to the conditions of advance payments.

• Develop and lead financial check-ins with grant sub-recipients at least quarterly depending on the support needs of each grant sub-recipient.

• Manage and maintain financial tracking and reporting records and provide information for financial reports, reimbursement requests, and financial forecasts for all grant sub-recipients.

• Adhere to CDHS/CDEC guidance for the administration of the funds and support audit activities.

• Participate in monthly financial monitoring meetings and report on the financial progress of the FFN program, identify areas of challenge, and proactively create solutions.

Qualifications:

• MUST be Bilingual in English and Spanish. 

• At least 5 years in the Early Childhood sector, preferably supporting FFN providers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• At least 2 years’ experience supporting nonprofit grants management either as a nonprofit or a granting organization

• Working knowledge of GAAP, audits, federal and state grant processes, and/or other regulatory requirements in the nonprofit financial field.

• Detail oriented and organized, with proven ability to manage projects and relationships with both funders and grant sub-recipients effectively and independently.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

• Highly comfortable working in a remote environment.

• A self-starter with strong initiative who is willing to collaborate with CSPC’s financial team and focus on continuous improvement efforts for the organization.

• An understanding of the value of failing forward.

• Capacity to operate in an environment where Spanish is the primary language.

• A passion for and commitment to education and early childhood programming.

Location:

This position is based in Colorado. All employees must live within Colorado. All employees work remotely, and their home residence is considered their official place of employment.
