Purpose: The Larimer County Family Justice Center (FJC) provides integrated support and services for survivors of domestic violence,
stalking, trafficking, sexual assault, and child abuse from multiple agencies, all located in one place. The Program Coordinator assists in the facilitation of
FJC programming and operations, and coordinates support and services with Crossroads Safehouse staff as appropriate.
Essential Functions
Crisis Intervention & Victim Advocacy
Provides crisis intervention over the phone and in person to survivors.
Provides safety planning, individual advocacy, protection order and victim’s compensation information and assistance to victims of domestic violence.
Provides information, community referral, legal advocacy referral, and support to victims and their families.
Conducts client intakes, orientation, and exit interviews.
Performs record keeping functions pertaining to clients, educational, and referral literature.
Serves as a member of the staff team; participates in client case management, staff meetings, and team efforts in problem solving, applicable program and policy development, program evaluation, and planning.
Participates as member of DART on call advocacy team.
Family Justice Center Program Duties
Oversees delivery and coordination of support groups and individual therapy. Engages with facilitators to ensure proper coordination among therapeutic team.
Maintains client scheduling, partnership meetings, and onsite facilitation of partnering programs in collaboration with the Direct Service manager, conducts partnership recruitment by attending community events, providing community education, and scheduling program partner onboarding.
Assists in gathering of statistical data on program activity and helps ensure accuracy through focused data entry tasks, including the development, facilitation, and
recording of client assessments
Ensure upkeep of FJC spaces and distribution of essential supplies.
May participate as member of Crossroads’ training team, including CORE training
Carries a caseload of FJC outreach clients, as necessary, performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Serves as a member of the Family Justice Center multi-disciplinary team, including attending partnership meetings and participating in multidisciplinary
collaboration efforts
Qualifications
Required
Experience supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, or other related social services work.
Ability to effectively counsel and provide information in a crisis situation.
Ability to build strong professional relationships across sectors.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Ability to climb a flight of stairs.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual Spanish/English
Preferred
· Experience in nonprofit training or peer mentoring
· High attention to detail
· Experience in human services or related field preferred
· A bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral Science Field or related field.
