service leaders to identify potential risks, creating and implementing policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations, and monitoring adherence to those policies and procedures?
We are seeking a Compliance Officer who will be responsible for keeping the Health District’s activities within guidelines, regulations, and ethical expectations. The Compliance Officer will monitor business operations and identify infractions, review company policies for possible risks and liabilities, and establish compliance requirements for new initiatives of the Health District. 

Pay Range and Status

· $73,759 to $92,198 per year DOQ 

· 40 hrs/wk

Education and Experience

· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
required.
Master’s degree preferred. 

· Minimum of seven (7) years of job experience required,
preferably in health care administration, human resources, or the legal profession,
or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
 

· Certified Information Privacy
Professional (CIPP) or Compliance Management certification preferred.
 

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable. 

Key Responsibilities

The Compliance Officer:

· Serves as HIPAA Privacy Officer and understands key laws governing health care and government services including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), 42 CFR Part 2, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA). 

· Collaborates with the Executive Leadership Team to establish practices to review and maintain required compliance documentation and internal control practices in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. 

· Keeps abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and guidelines. Assists in regulatory assessments following established procedures.

Infection Control Requirements

· Must comply with infection control policies for this position. 

Benefits

The Health District offers benefits to eligible employees. Additional coverage for dependents of eligible employees may be purchased.

· Health

Currently, we have three (3) basic plan options available to our employees for medical coverage.

· Dental

The Health District has a mandatory group dental plan for eligible employees.

· Vision

A vision plan is available to employees. The Health District does not contribute towards the monthly premium for this coverage.

· Retirement

The Health District offers a 401a to eligible employees. The Health District contributes 5% and the employee is required to contribute 3%. There is also a voluntary 457 plan available for the employee to designate an amount that they wish to contribute subject to the annual maximum amount allowable.

· Holidays

Currently, we have 10 paid holidays available to our employees along with 2 floating holidays.

· Flexible paid time off

Time off with pay is available to eligible employees to use as they choose for vacation, sick leave, or other personal needs. Flex time is earned and varies depending upon the number of hours worked weekly and the number of service years.

Employees working 30 hours or more receive 100% coverage for their premiums. Premiums for regular part-time employees (between 20 and 29 hours per week) will be prorated according to the number of hours worked.
