Job Summary

Join the Director of Talent and Organizational Development and the HR administrative department in supporting the people and teams of a growing organization. The HRBP/Generalist will bring a unique blend HR best practices, organizational psychology, communications, and business acumen skills to support the organization and its internal stakeholders.

    Areas of Responsibility

    Responsibilities

    HR Business Partner

    • Partner with the Director of Talent & Organizational Development to support all business units.
    • Operate as a trusted business partner by providing cross-functional HR advice, counsel and problem solutions.
    • Regularly meet with organizational members to understand impediments and opportunities.
    • Identify early on potential employee-relations issues and take necessary action.
    • Assist teams and individual contributors in responding to conflict resolution and change.
    • Coach and develop managers and non-executive directors to improve leadership performance.
    • Partner with teams to help them navigate the performance management process.
    • Assist with the development of career mapping and career bands to support overall compensation strategy.
    • Coordinate and/or conduct employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.

    Internal HR communications

    • Take the lead in crafting, aligning, and executing an HR/organizational communication strategy to support performance management, culture/ events, and the stages of the employee life cycle.
    •  Help maximize an organizational SharePoint site as a resource for new and existing employees.
    • Administer communications regarding company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.

    Strategic on-boarding of new employees

    • Help revise and facilitate new employee orientation presentation.
    • Check-in with new employees to understand challenges and success during on-boarding.
    • Help improve the new employee experience by identifying metrics, leveraging analysis, and making accurate recommendations that will help the organization improve on-boarding.
    • Assist with the development and execution of an organizational 30-60-90 day on-boarding plan.

    General HR and Administration Support

    • Champions new ideas and initiatives that foster and support creativity, innovation, and risk taking within the organization.
    • Work with the HR manager to assist with posting new positions, scheduling interviews, identifying compliance issues and serving as the HR representative in interview panels.
    • Work with the Director of Talent and Organizational Development to design, build, administer, and analyze strategic employee surveys.
    • Recommend and assist in facilitation of employee/organizational training.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned by management
    Requirements/Qualifications
    • BA/BS in Human Resources, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development or related field. 
    • 2-5 years’ experience of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. This includes the ability to influence management when appropriate.
    • Experience in most HR concentration areas such as benefits; compensation; workforce planning and employment; employee relations; occupational health, safety and security; strategic management; employee development; and training.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
