Position Summary: The Office Assistant is a key member of the team who plays critical support role in building a culture of inclusiveness, learning, accountability and service in several areas including donor database management, light bookkeeping, administrative services, and office operations. The Assistant will be the primary liaison with contracted vendors regularly used to administer payroll, IT, cleaning, security, etc.

Areas of Responsibility
  • Works with the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director to create a culture of inclusiveness, team, learning, pride and respect across the organization and programs.
  • Manages the donor database, including all data entry and reporting functions and database maintenance.
  • Manages new employee paperwork.
  • Provides light support for bookkeeping/finance functions (including online deposits for banking, credit card processing, and issuing Records of Donation).
  • Acts as office liaison for payroll (reporting hours for hourly employees), IT, security, cleaning, office machines, postage, etc.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge preferred
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, handle multiple priorities and manage time and projects efficiently; exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills
  • Exhibits advanced interpersonal and communication skills to represent the interest of SungateKids both within and outside of the organization
  • Physical demands may involve lifting materials and equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Travel in personal vehicle may be required as needed to complete duties of this position
Compensation/Benefits

This position is .5 FTE (20 hours/week); $25,000 annually. Benefits not applicable.

Hours are flexible.
