Job Description: 

Primary responsibility for development and implementation of the identified educational and therapeutic services to meet the needs of children assigned to a classroom. Participate as an integral part of the treatment team and responsible for implementing academic and behavioral goals from the Individualized Education Program (IEP), Personal Learning Plan (PLP) and treatment plans.

Areas of Responsibility

Provide classroom instruction to identified core curriculum and implement IEP’s, PLP’s and treatment plans in an appropriate manner. Provide a clean, safe and therapeutic learning environment. Represent each student’s academic, social and emotional abilities and needs during monthly, annual reviews of the IEP and IEP reevaluations.

  • B.A. from an Accredited University
  • A valid Colorado Teaching Certificate with a Special Education Generalist endorsement (or ability to obtain)
  • Teachers who possess a valid Colorado Teacher Certificate without the appropriate special education endorsement must complete the TTE (Temporary Teaching Eligibility) as required by state regulations
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license
  • All positions require criminal CBI background check, FBI fingerprint check, State of CO child abuse check, DMV driving record check, pre-employment drug test, pre-employment physical, academic credential verification, and reference check.
