Hi. My name is Amber Coté and I am the new Director of Education and Service Enterprise with Colorado Nonprofit Association. I have served in leadership roles as staff and on boards in our local nonprofit sector in Colorado Springs for over 20 years, and most recently was with the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.
I love my job! I get to hear stories every day from our members, consultants and volunteers about how the work you do changes and saves lives. I get to offer support, resources and assistance to those efforts, not only to make one person’s life matter by doing something they care about but all the people who are impacted by the energy, money and expertise they put towards solving a problem in their community.
I was thrilled to be a part of the team that navigated the merger between the Center for Nonprofit Excellence and Colorado Nonprofit Association last year. We are now celebrating our year anniversary as one organization and after attending to rather intensive change management and discovery, we've solidified our new job descriptions and roles for achieving our strategic vision. As such, my position has evolved into leading education efforts across the state of Colorado. We also hired Nick DiTulio, our new Education Coordinator, who will hit the ground running supporting this work at the end of July.
In the meantime, I wanted to let you know that we have several professional development sessions scheduled for the rest of 2019 (thanks to Akila Copeland) and are developing a few more training opportunities across the state for August, September and November. We also hope to see you at the C(3) Forum coming up in Colorado Springs on July 31st and the Colorado Nonprofit Conference on October 21st and 22nd.
I am glad to introduce myself to you and let you know we are working hard to get up-to-speed as quickly as possible. If I haven't met or spoken with you already, I hope to soon.
Thank you for your patience as we grow into our new roles. We see professional development and opportunities for peers to connect as a flagship offering of the Association that we'll continue to grow, ensuring that Colorado has the nation’s most effective, vibrant and innovative nonprofit community, essential to the quality of life in our state.
