Hi. I'm Maureen. My pronouns are she/her. I am an award-winning, multiracial communicator and storyteller with over ten years of experience, both domestic and abroad. I prioritize listening to and showing up for my audiences. I pride myself on transforming big ideas into meaningful results. I understand the value of data-driven decision making and I believe "showing up for your audiences" is key to communication success. My work intersects strategy and systems building with an underlying current of social justice, culture, and community building.
My main driver is the creation and implementation of thoughtful, integrated strategies that positively impact the Association, as well as nonprofits across Colorado. I am on a mission to boldly share the importance of balancing heart & science in all strategic communications efforts, no matter your budget, capacity or experience. And, in early 2019, I was named PR News’ Nonprofit Communicator of the Year!
I am a creative at heart. I am always learning. I host a podcast. I love dynamic brainstorming sessions, rescue doggos, craft beer, and new experiences. Let's grab a coffee and talk more about strategic communication, public radio, or progressive language. Connect with me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 303-813-4215 ext. 270.
