CASA of Larimer County (CLC) is a nonprofit organization comprised of three programs: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Family Connections (FC) and Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) program. CASA provides volunteer advocacy to children involved in dependency and neglect cases and FC provides supervised visitation, safe custody exchanges, supportive case management, and parenting education. TBRI® is integrated throughout CLC’s programs and provides evidence based, trauma-informed, intervention. Across all programs, our mission is to advocate for safe, nurturing, and permanent connections to family and community so children who have experienced abuse and neglect have the opportunity to thrive.

Position Overview: The Program Manager provides leadership and support of the CASA program of CASA of Larimer County. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the program provides high quality training and supervision to CASA Volunteers. The Program Manager implements programming in a manner that upholds best practices, provides trauma informed care, and is culturally sensitive. As a representative of CASA of Larimer County, the Program Manager will interact with court professionals, human services professionals, community partners and stakeholders to improve and expand the organization’s services.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program and Volunteer Management
- Provides leadership and guidance to program staff, volunteers, and interns in accordance with best practices and standards
- Manages case referrals and volunteer assignments; supports case planning and upholds organizational policies
- Provides problem-solving assistance to case supervisors and volunteers/interns as necessary
- Manages intern relationships with local colleges, including selection, onboarding, training, and evaluation
- Directly supervises CASA volunteers; manages a caseload of 15-20 CASA volunteers, on average, to meet program demands
- Supports volunteer recruitment, training and retention efforts
- Coaches and ensures accountability of volunteers, interns and staff
- Effectively manages and coaches staff to create an environment of empowerment and accountability
- Encourages professional development, participates in evaluation process and leads weekly staff meetings
Training and Evidence-Based Practices
- Coordinates, updates, and leads preservice training for new volunteers
- Supports the implementation and practice of evidence-based programming including Fostering Futures and TBRI
- Monitors the progress and effectiveness of training and programming to support the best outcomes for children
Data Management and Evaluation
- Oversees accurate and complete maintenance of all case records, including regular audits to ensure compliance and data integrity
- Uses qualitative and quantitative data to guide decision making
- Compiles and prepares program data for grant reporting, fundraising, and internal review; ensures timely and accurate data entry by staff and volunteers
- Analyzes program data to monitor effectiveness and outcomes
Leadership and Organizational Collaboration
- Ensures strict confidentiality of agency and client information
- Engages in community and court collaboration efforts by representing the program/organization at multidisciplinary team meetings, court stakeholder groups, and community partner gatherings to strengthen relationships and promote program alignment
- Collaborates with leadership team in developing program goals, identifying and implementing strategies for program growth and improvement, and continually monitoring program effectiveness
- Manages change processes to implement program/ organization initiatives and program/ organization improvements
- Supports fundraising efforts by collaborating with development staff, coordinating program-related involvement, and attending agency-wide events such as annual gala, golf tournament, donor/volunteer appreciation events, and community outreach activities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a desk for an extended period of time.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies, up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel within the county, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate experience
- Four or more years of experience in human services, social work, law or related fields
- Proven experience managing and supervising staff members, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Effective case management skills including developing strong relationships with clients and families
- Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish / English)
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build positive relationships with a wide variety of individuals and organizations
- Experience working in a trauma informed system of care
- Experience with program evaluation and overseeing data management
- Knowledge of the juvenile court and child welfare systems or similar governmental systems
- Adaptability, a creative approach to problem-solving, a desire to help improve and grow the CASA of Larimer County programs, and enthusiasm for managing staff and volunteers
- Projects a positive image of self and organization
- Organized with effective time management skills

- Availability to work evenings and weekends
