Overview
DRMAC is seeking a IT Support Specialist (Contract) – Website & Systems Support to assist with basic technical support and website maintenance. This role is ideal for early-career IT professionals, students, or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, and web management.
The contractor will help ensure staff have reliable technology tools and that the organization’s website remains functional, secure, and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic IT support for staff computers, software, and email systems
- Troubleshoot common technical issues (logins, connectivity, software issues)
- Assist with setup of new devices, software, and online tools
- Perform routine website updates, backups, and plugin maintenance
- Manage domain settings, DNS records, and SSL certificates
- Monitor website uptime and troubleshoot basic hosting issues
- Document technical updates and procedures
Basic Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of computer troubleshooting or IT support
- Familiarity with WordPress or another CMS platform
- Understanding of domains, DNS settings, or web hosting basics
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to support staff with varying levels of technical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or website builders
- Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Exposure to Google Analytics, SEO, or website performance to
Education
A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is helpful but not required. Candidates with relevant certifications, training programs, or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Certifications (not required)
CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Certificate, or similar entry-level IT certifications.
Work Schedule
Contract position. Work performed as needed for IT support and website maintenance. Remote, with occasional on-site support as needed.
