CSPC’s mission is to build power and support a movement in
marginalized communities of families and childcare providers to change systems,
build leaders, and train families and providers to be the strongest and best advocates
for their children to succeed in school and beyond. We
envision a community where all children are equipped with the skills to learn,
supported by a village, and encouraged to succeed.
We are home to five key programs that aim to support and prepare
FFN childcare providers, Parents, schools and communities to support their
children and families to thrive.
SCOPE OF WORK: The purpose of this position is to
ensure faithful implementation of the policy priorities of the Colorado
Statewide Parent Coalition. CSPC seeks a highly motivated person who is a
self-starter, creative, and has a solid understanding of the agencies, players,
and communities impacted by the policies passed. The policies for
implementation include HB24-1312 – The care economy tax credit, HB24-1223 and
more as they relate to CSPC’s mission. This position will be responsible for
engaging all the necessary stakeholders depending on the including the Colorado
Dept of Early Childhood, FFN serving organizations and FFN providers to ensure
the maximum uptake of this credit. CSPC is also focused on the faithful
implementation of the study written into HB24-1223 to evaluate how to provide
the Caring Adult and Children Food Program to FFN providers.
Responsibilities:
– Lead community, organizational, and agency
level coalitions to implement policies
– Develop training and informational
presentations about policies
– Identify communities and organizations who
could benefit from policy implementation and engage them
– Represent CSPC in stakeholder meetings
about policy implementation
– Provide input in policy development as it
relates to implementation
– Ensure that CSPC policy priorities are
implemented with fidelity
– Provide regular updates on policy
implementation to the CEO and director of Systemic Change

Qualifications:
– Bilingual English/Spanish
– At least two years of experience working
in the legislative process
– Strong ability to interpret legislation
and identify unintended consequences and impacts
– Strong and clear communication skills
– Exceptional organization skills
– Understanding of Colorado Government
including the agencies and their scopes
– Has experience managing coalitions that
include diverse stakeholders
– Strong problem solving and conflict
management skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects at one
time
– Ability to identify gaps and ways to fill them
– Ability to distill complex issue and
topics to easy-to-understand language in English and Spanish
