Description of Duties:

 

  • Help execute the Outreach and Recruitment Plan of Action
  • Assist in seeking and scheduling opportunities for booths and presentations in the Adams and Broomfield communities
  • Handle the set-up and tear-down of the CASA booth at community fairs, festivals, and tabling events. Supervise volunteers at these events
  • Communicate with Potential Advocates. Answer questions and share information as needed
  • Assist in the execution and planning of canvassing events, CASA 101 informational sessions, the Give a Child Hope Breakfast, and other recruitment-related events
  • Assist in the execution and planning of recruitment-related campaigns
  • Create and update recruitment-related collateral
  • Update and maintain postings about volunteer opportunities on Volunteer Match, NextDoor, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Attend meetings with the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator as necessary
  • Assist the Development Team with event execution as needed
  • Make phone calls and send emails as needed
  • Assist Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator with various filing and organizing need.
  • Assist in maintaining Advocate files
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications for Position:

  • High school diploma with some college experience
  • Reliable transportation and ability to drive in and around Adams and Broomfield Counties
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (copy machine, scanner, etc.)
  • Strong computer and internet skills. Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher required. Experience with Canva preferred
  • Great team player. Ability to work well with others as well as alone in minimally supervised situations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • High energy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Represent the CASA organization in a professional manner
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work evening and weekends as required
  • Clear a criminal history background check

 

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship. We encourage you to use this internship to gain course credit and to seek out "work-study" grants with your college, if that is an option.
