Bluff Lake Nature Center and The Urban Farm are currently seeking energetic, enthusiastic, outdoorsy individuals for two 12 week Site Management Internships (30 hours per week).

Bluff Lake Nature Center (BLNC) Mission and History: Bluff Lake Nature Center is a unique urban natural area dedicated to educating and inspiring people of all ages to respect, protect, and connect with our natural world. BLNC is a model urban wildlife refuge that enriches people’s lives through experiential education, environmental stewardship, community engagement and ecosystem preservation and restoration.
The Urban Farm (TUF) Mission and History: The Urban Farm inspires excitement for learning while fostering respect, responsibility, curiosity, caring, and grit. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for character building through experiential learning and practical work experience in a farm setting. TUF is an educational urban farm offering people the chance to learn horsemanship, animal husbandry, traditional and alternative gardening, and land remediation and care. Minimum

Qualifications:
 Age 18-24
 Reside in the neighborhoods of Montbello, Aurora, Commerce City, or Northeast Park Hill
 Must be able to work on feet for 8 hours including hiking up to 2 miles outdoors
 Available to work 5-8 hour shifts during the hours of 7am-6pm at least 4 days a week for multiple weeks from March 1, 2019-June 30, 2019.

Site Management Internship Description and Responsibilities: We are seeking Site Management Interns to assist the BLNC Site Manager in caring for the land through preservation and restoration of native habitat and to assist the site manager at TUF in land management of the farm. Site Management Interns will be working in an outdoor environment while accomplishing a variety of tasks including:
 Invasive species removal
 Wildlife Management
 Collection of scientific data
 Watershed Cleanup
 Other reasonable site management responsibilities as determined
