Internship Description: 

The CELL Special Projects Intern provides critical project support, assisting with various CELL events and programs.

Essential Functions

  • Supports project managers in coordinating schedules and milestones for CELL events and programs
  • Assists with documentation and other project deliverables
  • Helps with coordinating logistics, updating internal and external documents, and preparing/organizing supplies and materials
  • Communicates with staff about progress towards major project milestones, giving regular reports to management
  • Maintains relationships with and provides timely communication to all key partners and stakeholders
  • Other related duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Upper-level Bachelor’s student or graduate student in a related field preferred
  • Experience with project management or coordination strongly preferred
  • Passion for and experience in security studies, international relations and current events
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Outstanding writing, presentation, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, professional environment a plus
  • Highly motivated, positive, flexible, and proactive team player is a must
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds on an occasional basis and up to 10 pounds frequently

Hours and Salary

This is a paid internship. Interns should be able to dedicate 20-25 hours a week during office hours, ideally on two to three full 8-hour days. Some weekends and evenings will be required for assistance staffing CELL programs.
