Adoption Caseworker is responsible for working with adoptive families through their adoption process. He/She will be responsible for facilitating all paperwork required in the adoption, educating families about the process and correct expectations, answering questions, ensuring all required documents are complete and up to date, and marketing the adoption programs to reach potential adoptive families.

Areas of Responsibility
  • Follow up with paperwork, questions and education of the adoption process
  • Attending and creating Adoptive Parent Trainings to answer adoptive parent’s questions.
  • Ability to retain knowledge about the adoption process from Ukraine, Bulgaria, India, Mexico, China, Colombia, and domestically
  • Marketing the adoption program to potential adoptive families who are inquiring
  • Educating the families on accurate expectations for the program and children
  • Facilitating connections between other professionals to ensure a smooth adoption process
  • Being flexible as specific duties may change as the adoption programs grow.
  • Ability to self-educate and research ever-changing adoption regulations and procedures
  • Experience working in the adoption process, either in the US or abroad.
  • Experience with marketing and networking to reach clients.
  • Experience with data tracking and management
  • Knowledge of the emotional issues involved with adoption.
  • Knowledge of child welfare services and ability to perform functions of the position.
  • General office skills (computer literacy, typing, filing, etc.)
  • Honesty and integrity
  • High level of critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited program of social work or similar
  • Prior experience with family and children’s services, social work, or adoption
  • Satisfactory results from CBI or FBI fingerprint check, and no record in the Central Registry of people charged with child abuse.
  • Upon hire, three reference letters from unrelated people (one or two must be from the Employer of the applicant) regarding the applicant's character, reliability, work ethic, and ability to be efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for helping children and families through adoption
  • Ability to work individually and as a team with little follow up and direction

Salary: $30,000.00 to $35,000.00 /year
