Job DescriptionOrganization: The Counseling and Education CenterOrganization Type: 501(c)(3)Job Location: Western SlopeType of Job: Part-timeJob Category: DevelopmentJob Description: The Counseling and Education Center’s Development Coordinator is responsible for working with the Executive Director to solicit and raise funds for the organization in order to provide financial stability in support of our mission to ensure mental health services to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. This position is responsible for developing and overseeing implementation of our grant initiatives, donor campaigns, and fundraising events. Areas of ResponsibilityStrategic Development Work with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other Administrative Staff to develop, implement and oversee implementation of an annual fundraising plan Provide periodic reports to the Board with regard to fundraising efforts Grants Identify grant prospects and develop an annual calendar of grant deadlines Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders Develop and submit grant applications Oversee and implement all funded proposals to ensure compliance with requirements Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to funders Donor Development Identify prospective individual and corporate donors. Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors. Develop and oversee annual giving campaigns. Oversee and participate in all Colorado Gives/Grand Valley Gives campaign event. Maintain integrity and input of data into the agency’s donor management database system. Event Coordination Develop event concepts and strategy Coordinate event planning logistics to include but not limited to: site selection, vendor contracts, speakers, sponsorships, volunteers and materials. Establish a realistic budget for events Initiate and coordinate publicity for all events Develop appropriate ways to thank sponsors, donors, and volunteers for their efforts Marketing & Public Relations Maintain on-going communication with the community, donors, CEC staff and board of directors regarding our mission, values, and services. Manage the organization’s social media presence and website. Design the organization’s printed materials including promotional brochures and flyers Represent the organization in the community through presentations, interviews, etc. Front Desk Backup Develop and maintain knowledge of all aspects of the agency’s services and operations Provide coverage for the front desk as needed due to illness or time off scheduled by the Administrative Assistant. Duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and performing some billing through the agency electronic record system. Observe all rules of confidentiality required by HIPAA and CEC. Requirements/QualificationsAny combination of education training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, and/or Business. 3+ years of experience in non-profit development Previous experience and demonstrated success with grant writing Previous experience with donor development and fundraising events Compensation/BenefitsCompensation: Part-Time non-exempt, with opportunity to work into full-time position. $18.00/hour, $18,720 @ ½ time.
