About Rocky Mountain Prep
Rocky Mountain Prep is a growing network of innovative public charter schools, serving students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in the Greater Denver Area. Rocky Mountain Prep opened its first school in 2012 with 130 students and has grown to four schools, working with over 1,800 scholars across two districts. Grounded in our culture of rigor and love, our schools consistently outperform local districts academically, while also ensuring our scholars are developing in our PEAK values of perseverance, excellence, adventure, and kindness.

Role Mission: The purpose of the Director of Academics: Lower el is the improvement of instructional clarity, content, and execution of a balanced literacy and math curriculum in K-2nd grade across four RMP schools. In this role, the Director of Academics builds content and curricular capacities of school based leaders and teachers to improve the outcomes for students. The Director of Academics: Lower el is the network team expert on our ELA and math curricula and programs: Amplify (CKLA), Expeditionary Learning, and math.
Accountabilities: Students in K-2 make 1.5 year’s growth in reading and in math, as measured by Renaissance STAR and Dibels.
The City & County of Denver recently issued a vaccine mandate for public employees. This mandate applies to charter schools. Please be aware that all Rocky Mountain Prep staff members are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination. There is a process for requesting exemption to this mandate but we cannot guarantee that a request for exemption will be approved.
