Areas of Responsibility

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will successfully lead RCHS through its next critical phase of development. The Executive Director will provide leadership across all operations and programs, including management of staff, facilities, day-to-day administration, financial forecasting and budgeting, human resources, training and behavior, adoptions, community outreach, marketing, and fundraising and development.

The Executive Director will also develop and maintain policies and procedures for all staff functions; ensure fiscal responsibility over budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the Board Treasurer; and maintain, develop and implement major fundraising initiatives through donor relations, grants and events. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will help to develop an overall strategy to achieve our long-term vision.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3-years of experience in management, non-profit preferred.
  • Experience working with animals within an animal welfare organization (desired).
Compensation/Benefits

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Performance reviews are annual after the first year with employee development programs.
