Salary Range:   $41,000 - $46,000

 

Summary:

 

The Finance Coordinator organizes CRC’s collection of financial information, coding, processing of all financial transactions, and reporting on program and organization finances. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable for the organization. This position is also responsible for day-today operations as they relate to finance and assisting CRC’s bookkeeper and program staff with the coordination of all financial management information.

Areas of Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

 

Coordinate Monthly Financials Statements for CRC and CRC Programs (40% of Time)

To advance the financial management of CRC, the Finance Coordinator will:

  • Initiate the development of CRC’s monthly financial statements through the ongoing documentation, coding, and submission of transaction details for the organization
  • Coordinate the collection of monthly financials edits from staff that ensure the accuracy of information, and align with grant compliance
  • Coordinate edits and changes to drafted financial statements with CRC’s bookkeeper that ensures the collection and processing of accurate and timely information
  • Coordinate monthly financial updates to program staff on budget to actuals, staff allocations, and financial reporting
  • Implement financial procedures that are compliant with AmeriCorps state and national service programs and compile financial attachments for grant applications and reports

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (40% of Time)

The Finance Coordinate will organize accounts payable and accounts receivable that will involve:

  • Identification of bill and invoice payments, coding of those accounts payable transactions, distribution of checks, and processing of reoccurring payments
  • Process incoming checks including coding and recording customer payments / donor contributions
  • Work in collaboration with CRC staff to track revenue, coordinate spending on specific grants, and ensure proper filing of information
  • Complete regular check deposits, correctly document deposits, maintain accounts receivable spreadsheet, and update CRC’s bookkeeper on relevant accounts receivable information
  • Maintain proper filing of organizational and financial documents including accounts payable, accounts receivable, contracts, grants and other organizational documents as required in digital and paper forms

 

Coordinate Operational and Office Support (20% of Time)

The Finance Coordinate will support the overall operations of the organization with the following tasks:

  • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing systems to improve communications and workflow, and implement Standard Operating Procedures surrounding finance
  • Work with CRC’s technology vendors to order supplies, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot issues
  • Track and purchase office supplies, printer supplies and postage; complete an annual technology inventory
  • Participate as an active and well-prepared CRC team member for staff meetings, board meetings, trainings, special events and other professional activities
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and to meet deadlines
  • Extremely high level of detail and ability to provide accurate and timely information
  • Sound judgement, and the ability to make informed decisions
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
  • Proficient with Quickbooks, Google Suite, Zoom, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to pass a CNCS criminal background check
  • Must have the ability to work remotely, including having access to reliable internet service, and space in your home to work
  • At least three years of financial coordination experience required
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Compensation/Benefits
Compensation: 

This is a full-time permanent exempt position.  The position is based in CRC’s Denver office but will require some work in CRC’s office and remote work during the pandemic. Salary range is $41-$46k and is commensurate with depth of experience and overall qualifications.
