Job Description: 

Mi Casa Resource Center is seeking a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to strengths-based approach and passion for working with low income and diverse populations to join us as Navigator.

Navigation is a strengths-based, trauma-informed, holistic, interdisciplinary approach to support individuals working toward the goal of economic success. The Navigator helps connect Career Pathways participants to services and programs within MCRC as well as to other community resources. They provide a range of support services, including needs assessment, goal setting, problem solving, resource/referral, group support, financial assistance, and benefits management. This position also supports our programming through facilitating training, technological support, and data entry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership

  • Supervises BSW/ MSW interns as needed.

Participant Interaction

  • Works collaboratively with adult Career Pathways participants to identify personal barriers to training, employment, and/or job retention. Connects participants to appropriate resources as needed.
  • Maintains connections with other service providers to provide high-quality referrals to participants.
  • Supports with digital skills building and technological support throughout training and coaching.
  • Facilitates workplace relationship education curriculum and supports training as needed.
  • Conducts ongoing follow-up for participants on caseload throughout their time at Mi Casa and up to 12 months after program completion.
  • Provides support to participants across the agency via phone, email and in-person services.

Operations

  • Works with Career Pathways Recruiter to conduct an initial needs assessment prior to enrollment.
  • Participates in agency-wide and community committees as assigned.
  • Supports agency’s efforts to provide trauma-informed and wraparound services to all participants.

Independent Judgement

  • Uses discretion in determining best ways to support participants.

Evaluation

  • Oversees timely, accurate, and detailed maintenance of files on all participants.
  • Performs timely data entry of all participant contact in agency database (including phone calls, emails, and appointments).
  • Tracks data and prepares reports as needed.
  • Works with team members to oversee and implement evaluation efforts.

Fundraising and Grant Management

  • Coordinates participants to assist and attend specific events at Mi Casa Resource Center.
  • Contributes to and participates in fundraising efforts and events of the agency, as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in case management, navigation or resource referral or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with low-income and diverse populations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and database management.
  • Knowledge of Denver-area community-based organizations and resources.
  • Background check required.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work.
Compensation/Benefits
Compensation: 

The hiring range for this position is $41,000 to $46,500 per year.
