Denver VOICE Mission Statement

To facilitate a dialogue addressing the roots of homelessness by telling stories of people whose lives are impacted by poverty and homelessness. To offer economic, educational and empowerment opportunities for the impoverished community.

The Denver VOICE is a nonprofit that publishes a monthly street newspaper made up of original stories. We empower individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty through our vendor program by providing them with direct income selling the newspaper. The Denver VOICE was founded on the idea that poverty and homelessness are not simply the problems of the individuals directly affected. Instead, we believe that the community has a responsibility to address the root causes of these social issues.
