Training Manager, The Public Interest Network
Effective advocates aren’t born, they’re trained. Every year, The Public Interest Network trains hundreds of results-oriented activists for professional work in organizing and advocacy.
We’re looking for a new Training Manager who:
Is articulate and comfortable with public speaking;
Is detail-oriented and can organize events for large groups;
Is able to apply structure to content, and
Values the contribution of a network like ours, which, over its 45-year history, has made an unmatched contribution to the future of social movements and organizing in U.S. politics and beyond through our commitment to training.
The organizations within The Public Interest Network have served as the training ground for countless activists and organizers. Our staff and “alumni” have taken the skills they've developed with us and run campaigns to preserve the environment, protect public health and promote civic engagement. They lead the nation's environmental, consumer, and social change organizations; they hold elected office and serve in government; they work with the media, foundations, universities, the private sector and in countless other professions.
