Areas of Responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience.  Minimum one-year supervisory or administrative experience.  Prefer experience in volunteer administration or service as a volunteer.  Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task.  Strong communication skills both oral and written.  One year of direct experience in human services.  Experience with homeless and low income individuals preferred.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Volunteer Specialist works in conjunction with the Project Manager to implement promote and oversee the Mission’s programs and activities.  He/she helps ensure program accountability and effective, professional interaction between staff, clients and volunteers by engaging and assessing the volunteer needs of the Mission and by recruiting, training and supervising volunteers and providing resources and support to clients.

 

 

Salary:$15.61 per hour

 

Work Schedule:Monday-Thursday 7:30 am - 1:30 pm Friday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Total hours: 28
