Every nonprofit needs money. Unfortunately, this is where many organizations want to start - with fundraising. Jumping right into raising money is like building a house without a foundation. It might work for a while, but it's not going to last. This course will help you create a solid foundation for fundraising and other income development success, maximum mission impact, and long-term sustainability. Participants will come away with knowledge and tools for building a board that will own the mission, vision, and passion to accelerate their work toward making the world a better place.

  • Free for members
  • $29.00 for non-members

Event Description

Kim Stewart is a business and leadership coach and consultant, dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and leaders.

Kim has a passion for the nonprofit sector, spending over 30-years as an organizational leader serving agencies of all sizes. In 2020, she decided to expand her reach and shift to supporting the nonprofit sector as a consultant. By switching from a staff role to serving multiple agencies, Kim has been able to increase the impact she has on her community. Today Kim offers a wide variety of coaching, consulting, training and facilitation services. Her ultimate goal is to help organizations develop powerful, strategic governance boards that will produce long-lasting impact and success. Kim helps leaders get their business to a place where the mission/vision, values, goals, and every single staff and volunteer is aligned and moving in the same direction. By simplifying, aligning, and calming the chaos, leaders find more time to focus on what’s important to them. Through intentional board development, skills building, structure and strategy, Kim believes that any organization can help save the world!

Kim and her family are originally from Iowa. They love being active in the outdoors, live music, art, reading and more. Her family includes two delightful teenagers ~ Libby and Callahan. Serving her community is important to Kim. She gives back as a Board member with Tri-Lakes Cares, a Board member for the Festival of Lights, an Ambassador for the Tri-Lakes Chamber, a Program Committee member for the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and as 2022 Chair for Accolades for the Women’s Chamber.
