Course Description:

Are you trying to complete your organization’s budget and have some questions? What about grant writing? Or are you struggling with telling your organization’s financial story? Maybe you have questions on the Form 990 or tax filing requirements for nonprofits? Or are you confused about when your nonprofit might need an audit? Join several Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) that specialize in nonprofit accounting, audit, and tax and ask them your questions. The session will be an open format allowing attendees to bring their questions and obtain advice from a panel of trusted CPAs.

Nathan Oberle, CPA

Nathan is a CPA specializing in nonprofit financial reporting and compliance. He is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA), and serves on the Nonprofit Working Group. He is currently the Director of Fiscal Services at Hilltop Community Resources. Prior to that, he worked in public-sector audit for a top-10 national accounting firm, as well as provided audit and tax services at a boutique firm in Denver, working with some of the biggest private foundations and public charities in the state. He has a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from CU Boulder and an MBA – Finance from Missouri State University.

 

 

Tiffany Knight, CPA

Tiffany Knight is a director and shareholder at Kundinger, Corder & Montoya, P.C. (KCM), a Denver firm which provides audit and tax services exclusively to nonprofit organizations.  Ms. Knight joined KCM in January 2006 after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Metro State College of Denver.  Ms. Knight is a currently involved in the audit and tax work for a number of nonprofit organizations at KCM and also oversees the Single Audit practice at the firm.  

Ms. Knight is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA).  Ms. Knight is heavily involved at the COCPA and currently serves on the Member Connections Committee, Nonprofit Working Group, and is the Audit Committee Chair at the COCPA.  Ms. Knight is also the past Vice President for the Educational Foundation of the COCPA. Ms. Knight is also a member of the Finance Committee for Earthlinks, Inc.  Ms. Knight enjoys attending Denver Broncos games, concerts, traveling, hiking, swimming, and being outdoors.  She is a Colorado native and loves calling Colorado home.  

 

 

Lori Anne Reinwald, CPA

Lori Anne Reinwald, CPA has been working with not-for-profit organizations since 1998. She is the currently the CFO and COO for Thriving Families. She has experience providing contract CFO and project-based accounting for not-for-profits and was a former partner at Kundinger, Corder & Engle, PC working exclusively with not-for-profits with a focus on Single Audits, and employee benefit plan audits. 

Lori Anne is on the Not-for-Profit Conference committee for the Colorado State Society of CPAs (COCPA). She has also sat on a number of not-for-profit boards in the Colorado.
