2025 Winter Nonprofit Legal Audit Clinic
The Nonprofit Legal Audit Clinic is an initiative of the Colorado Nonprofit Association, the Colorado Lawyers Committee, the Association of Corporate Counsel – Colorado, and sponsoring law firms to assist small nonprofits in assessing their legal health. Representatives from your nonprofit will have the opportunity to meet with several lawyers (without charge) to review legal issues facing your organization. The Clinic is intended to help nonprofit organizations think about transactional and regulatory legal issues. The Clinic is not intended to assist nonprofit organizations with threatened, pending, or active litigation matters.
Applications will open late fall 2024
Qualifications to Apply
1. Must be a Member of the Colorado Nonprofit Association
2. Budget must be under $750,000. Larger organizations will be selected on a case-by-case basis.
Note: If accepted, you will be required to meet with a paralegal to do further intake.

- Approximate budget
- Articles of incorporation
- IRS Determination Letter
- State and local tax exemption letters
- Recent promotional materials (brochures, annual reports, etc.)
- Any other contract or document you have a question about
