To connect kids to the outdoors.
Within the current mission, Catamount Institute implements programs that connect kids with nature through meaningful outdoor experiences. What's more is these children learn that they have the powerful ability to protect and nurture the natural world. It is these young leaders that will be tomorrow's stewards of the earth. We have four central youth education programs that reinforce classroom learning through real-world application in the natural environment: Catamount Outdoor Schools, Young Environmental Stewards (YES) Club, field trips, and camps. All programs are driven by Colorado Department of Education’s Colorado Academic Standards. The goal of each program is to equip the next generation of citizens and professionals to solve real-world problems.
