Angela Giron

President & CEO

 

Angela serves as the President/CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County where, under her leadership, they have tripled their budget and opened 3 new clubhouses which will allow them to double their membership

Angela was raised in Pueblo and received her BA degree from what is presently Colorado State University-Pueblo. Angela held multiple program positions and served in administrative leadership at Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County from 1980-2007. During her 10-year hiatus from the Club, she served as the Regional Representative for US Senators Ken Salazar and Michael Bennet. In 2010, she was elected to the Colorado State Senate on a platform championing women, youth, and families.

Angela holds positions on the Chavez/Huerta Preparatory Academy School Board, CSU Pueblo Foundation Board, and Colorado’s Women’s Vote Centennial Commission. She is most proud of the recognition she has received as the State of Colorado has celebrated Year of La Chicana.

Angela is married to Steve Nawrocki and has an adult daughter, Melanie.
