Position Summary

The Event Coordinator will represent DRMAC at community events, networking opportunities, outreach activities, and partner meetings throughout Colorado. This position is responsible for increasing awareness of DRMAC’s mission, programs, and transportation resources while building and maintaining positive relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and the public.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, professional, and passionate about community engagement and transportation access. This is a temporary position with flexible and variable hours based on event schedules and organizational needs. There is potential for this role to transition into a permanent position based on organizational growth, performance, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend community events, conferences, networking meetings, resource fairs, and outreach opportunities on behalf of DRMAC
  • Represent DRMAC in a professional and positive manner at all times
  • Share information about DRMAC programs, services, trainings, and transportation resources • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and material distribution
  • Build relationships with community partners, organizations, and attendees
  • Identify potential partnership and collaboration opportunities
  • Collect contact information, outreach data, media, and event feedback as requested
  • Provide follow-up communication and event summaries to DRMAC staff
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating outreach opportunities when needed
  • Maintain inventory of outreach and promotional materials
  • Support DRMAC’s mission of improving transportation access and mobility across Colorado

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable speaking with diverse populations and community partners
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to events throughout Colorado as needed
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Experience in community outreach, event coordination, customer service, nonprofit work, or public engagement preferred
  • Knowledge of transportation, mobility, disability services, older adult services, or community resources is a plus
  • Must be comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends

Compensation

  • $22.00 per hour
  • Temporary employee position with flexible scheduling based on DRMAC event needs
  • Mileage reimbursement may be available for approved travel
  • Potential opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and organizational needs

Work Environment

This position primarily works in community settings including conferences, meetings, outreach events, and public engagement opportunities. Some virtual networking opportunities may also be required.

The Event Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening community partnerships and increasing awareness of transportation resources and access opportunities.
