Job Description: 

 The VISTA will support the Service Enterprise certification and a variety of volunteer engagement strategies. Member duties include:1)Volunteer Recruitment – Develop position descriptions, post positions, interview, and screen applications the VISTA will create a qualified and diverse pool of volunteers.2)Onboard Volunteers – Accommodate the variety of volunteer positions at CRC, this candidate will develop, coordinate, and help staff implement an orientation and onboarding materials.3)Volunteer Coordination – The coordination of volunteers will mostly occur through the Colorado Grants Guide. Assist CGG volunteers with the development and revision of donor profiles.4)Recognition & Retention – The VISTA will identify and support staff with the implementation of volunteer engagement strategies.5)Service Enterprise Initiative – Take best and evidence-based practices at this initiative to further CRC’s volunteer opportunities and initiatives that will amplify the CRC's impact in Colorado.

Areas of Responsibility

Recruit and lead a team of volunteers while gaining key leadership and Human Resources skills! This VISTA Member and their volunteer team will primarily support the Colorado Grants Guide, and other CRC volunteer initiatives as needed. Member duties include: 1.) Develop position descriptions, post positions, and interview applicants to recruit and create a qualified and diverse pool of volunteers. 2.) Onboard and train volunteers, including creating/refining and implementing orientation and onboarding materials. 3.) Coordinate volunteers working on the Colorado Grants Guide; assist volunteers to research and update funder profiles; lead team to meet goal of updating 650+ profiles every six months. 4.) Develop and deliver strategies to recognize, appreciate, and retain volunteers, engaging CRC staff in these efforts. 5.) Collaborate with Points of Light Service Enterprise program to integrate best practices and maximize volunteer impact.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Car recommended
  • Be 18 years or older (no upper age limit)
  • Hold one of the following citizenship or legal residency statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card status), and persons legally residing within a state.
Compensation/Benefits
Compensation: 

Compensation is determined by Americorps (by county). The range for AmeriCorps VISTA is $13,362 - $20,584 annually.

Education award upon successful completion of service,  Health Coverage*,  Training,  Relocation Allowance,  Living Allowance,  Childcare assistance if eligible,  Housing Stipend $200/month.
