ll further the mission of Roundup River Ranch by planning and executing all aspects of stewardship, cultivation and signature events, while ensuring full partnership with internal and external stakeholders.  This position also provides ongoing administrative support to the Development team as needed.

Areas of Responsibility

We are currently hiring for an Events Manager.  Highlights of the position include:

  • Plan and execute high quality events that facilitate achievement of annual revenue targets from event funding sources
  • Partner with staff, event committees and donor hosts to achieve event vision
  • Demonstrate optimized event expense management within established budgets
  • Establish and maintain strategic long term partnerships with external service providers, including the solicitation of opportunities for in-kind donations
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully negotiate competitive contract pricing in all aspects of event logistics, facilities, location and resources
  • Maintain a comprehensive event planning schedule and internal and external communications timeline
  • Maintain detailed records of donor and prospect activity in Raisers Edge database related to event activity
  • Support cultivation of event sponsor relationships and fulfillment
  • In partnership with the volunteer team, engage volunteer assistance as needed for pre and post-event support.
  • Raise brand and Mission awareness through intentional and targeted event communications and supporting materials
  • Partner with the Marketing team for timely fulfilment of event supporting materials and e-communications
  • Partner with internal staff for support with event resources and special camper guest participation
  • Actively participate and contribute towards development team meetings and discussions
  • Coordinate donor recognition and fulfillment of donor auction packages
  • Facilitate event debrief and follow-up actions in a timely manner
  • Assist with mailings, ‘thank you’ phone calls, appeals and other direct support of donors
  • Support on-site preparation and execution of stewardship and cultivation events 
  • Proven planning and administrative abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to execute a creative vision that captures the Mission of Roundup River Ranch
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and work within deadlines
  • Interest and ability to partner and collaborate with others in a team setting
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Proven track record as an event manager specializing in non-profit signature events
  • Computer proficiency and practical experience in word processing, database and internet navigation

This positions pays an annual salary of $61,129.
