A Woman's Place, Inc. shelters and helps empower victims/survivors of domestic abuse to become safe, secure and self-reliant; and through education and collaboration, mobilize our community to help prevent domestic violence.
A Woman's Place serves a diverse population of domestic violence victims who are in need of resources, and may have been rendered homeless due to domestic violence. All of our services are free of charge and confidential, and we have engaged the services of a confidential 24 hours per day interpretation service that provides interpretation in over 150 languages. Our safe house is a universal access building. Our services include: advocacy, screenings, intakes and crisis intervention 24 hours per day, 365 days per year; Prevention and Intervention Counseling for adults, teens, children and families; teen dating violence education; Legal Advocacy and assistance with the civil protection order process; crisis and domestic violence advocacy, individual and group education and support for resident and nonresident adults, children and adolescents; life skills; parenting support/education and case management; outreach and education for community members and professional agencies.
